Consultations

Initial Parental Consultation 

Whenever parents make general enquiries about behaviour, or are unsure about how best to pursue and assessment, I offer parent only consultation appointments.  This is then affords parents an opportunity to discuss their concerns before committing to an assessment, and I give recommendations about how best to proceed.  The cost of is €150 for a one hour telephone call. Not accepting a consultation does not in any way impede your request for a diagnostic assessment.

Post assessments

Parents often ask for follow up sessions to ‘check-in’ or review the progress of their children.  This is offered to tailor parents’ needs.  Some parents request specific guidance and support regarding what the diagnosis means for their child, others want to ‘check-in’ to ensure that their children are meeting heir developmental potential.  Others seek specific support about behaviours of concern.  Following consultation, a plan is  made for review appointments if required.  Plans for follow-up appointments are outlined in detail prior to commencing sessions.
